Renowned jazz chanteuse Jane Monheit brings her longtime quartet featuringMichael Kanan (piano), Neal Miner (bass), and Rick Montalbano (drums) back to the Blue Note for a weeklong engagement this August.

An extraordinarily gifted vocalist whose sincere and romantic interpretations of exceptional songs have made her a favorite in both the jazz and cabaret worlds, Monheit’s albums regularly top the Billboard Jazz charts upon their release.

In 2010, Monheit celebrated the tenth anniversary of her remarkable recording career with her most mature, heartfelt album yet, Home. A collection of standards that represents a passionate return to her roots as a jazz musician, the album features the band she has worked with onstage and off for most of her career. It is also the first she has made in its entirety since becoming a mother and marks her debut as sole producer of a recording.

Monheit will play Tuesday to Sunday, July 31 – August 5, 8pm & 10:30pm at The Blue Note, 131 West 3rd Street, New York, NY. Tickets are $35 table seats, $20 at the bar. Doors open at 6pm. Reservations recommended. Seating is first come, first served. American Express Preferred Seating available at www.bluenotejazz.com.
