It has only been two weeks, six shows and one high-ranking heat seeker spot since the release of J. Roddy Walston & The Business's new album, Essential Tremors, has been released and the band recently stopped by NPR to chat with Weekend Edition and performs a few new songs; check out the interview HERE.
After departing NPR's studios in DC the band has continued on their relentless touring schedule, endlessly shifting from snarling and stompy to warm and soulful out on-stage every night. Co-produced by Matt Wignall (Delta Spirit, Cold War Kids) and Grammy-winning producer/engineer Mark Neill (The Black Keys) at Neill's own Soil of the South Studios,Essential Tremors has a scrappy yet sublime sound that honors the both band's Southern roots and punk spirit. To experience a glimpse of this sound on-stage, watch and share this new live video of the band covering Little Richard's "Lucille", now online courtesy of SPIN.
