Reggae, pop, rock heavyweights Iration have just released a new music video for "Back Around," the band's latest single from their newly released album Automatic. Watch the new music video--shot in Irations's Santa Barbara, CA hometown--here: http://youtu.be/2dqJQJ3Ievs. "Back Around" is also currently receiving radio airplay nationally--30 to 40+ spins per week in some markets--with adds at 91X in San Diego, CA,92.9 KJEE in Santa Barbara, CA, 98.7 WRMR in Wilmington, NC, 102.7 WJSE in Atlantic City, NJ, 107.3 KURQ in San Luis Obispo, CA, 101.9 KUCD in Honolulu, HI and more.

"'Back Around' is one of the songs I'm most proud of on the new album," shares lead singer and guitarist Micah Pueschel. "It's a bit dark and a bit edgy but it possesses an optimistic heart. The standup piano, sparse bass hits and alternating drum beats give it a style that's hard to define. I think that's why we like it so much."

Automatic--out now on their own 3 Prong Records with distribution through MRI/RED--marks the third full-length album from the Hawaiian-bred, Santa Barbara-based band and most successful to date. The 16-track collection immediately shot all the way up to the #1 spot on both the Billboard and iTunes Reggae Albums charts, as well as #7 on the iTunes Overall Albums chart, #75 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and#17 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart.

With Automatic, Iration is further pushing their musical boundaries while staying true to the sound they helped bring to the mainstream. The band collaborated with Cage The Elephant guitarist Lincoln Parish who is featured on several tracks and helped co-produce select songs on the album along with long time studio partner JP Hesser of Castaway 7 Studios in Ventura, CA.

Writer Markos Papadatos of DigitalJournal.com recently raved, "Overall, Iration's Automatic has such a mellow, soothing and laid-back vibe to it. They showcase a great deal of talent and it is recommended for fans of reggae and soft rock music. This CD is the quintessential record to listen to after a long hard day's work. It is so hard to critique this lengthy collection of 16 songs since all the tracks are well-crafted and uplifting. It garners two thumbs up." (8/17/13)

The group--Micah Pueschel (Guitar/Vocals), Joe Dickens (Drums), Adam Taylor (Bass) and Cayson Peterson (Keyboards)--are in the midst of a coast-to-coast headlining tour in support of AUTOMATIC. Tonight (8/22) they'll bring their feel good sounds to New York City's Highline Ballroom and continue on along the East Coast to Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Norfolk, VA, and Florida, with stops in Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. IRATION and tour mates Through the Roots, Fortunate Youth and Micah Brown will then begin to make their way to the West Coast with shows in Houston, Austin, Dallas, Albuquerque,Tempe, Sacramento and San Francisco, before closing out the tour with a Los Angeles show presented by KROQ 106.7 Saturday, September 21 at The Wiltern. Special guests Seedless will also take the stage that night. Before the tour officially got underway, IRATION performed to over 9,400 fans at their headlining show at the Del Mar Racetrack's annual Summer Concert Series in San Diego, CA. They also went on to sell-out shows in Portland, OR, Omaha, NE and Boston, MA. Full tour schedule is below and ticket information is available at www.facebook.com/iration/app_123966167614127.

Orange County Register's David Hall recently caught IRATION in Costa Mesa, CA and wrote, "...the droves of fans (many clad in black, gold, red and green) who packed in for this opening Saturday night of the OC Fair's five-week season hit a high point even before the headliners took the stage...Santa Barbara-based, Hawaii-bred band Iration blazed through a short opening set of upbeat, tropical-tinged tunes. Along with a few carefree cuts from just-released third album Automatic, the group did good by playing to the crowd's lifted spirits with a sunny cover of Tom Petty's 'Mary Jane's Last Dance.'" (7/14/13) Salt Lake City Weekly touted, "There's no better way to kick off the end of summer than jammin' at a reggae show, listening to tunes from Hawaii natives Iration...Automatic, the band's third full-length album, hosts the same unique blend of reggae, rock and pop with playfully alliterated lyrics and easy listening for which Iration is recognized." (8/8/13) Elsewhere, Thom Jennings at the Niagara Gazette (NY) shared, "The group's style reminds me of early Police when the band picked up a heavier reggae influence before moving toward the pop sound on Synchronicity. It's a solid album and Iration has already garnered a reputation as a great live act." (8/15/13)
