Following the release of their groundbreaking, viral music video, improvisational voice band Subtle Pride is seated at the cusp of international fame as they announce the presentation of their highly-anticipated and aptly-named new show SUBTLE PRIDE: Live in Concert on June 11th at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie St.).

Subtle Pride returns to Dixon Place after a sold-out show in the Lounge this winter. Through a combination of Subtle Pride's signature improvised music, amateur puppetry, Russian folklore, and normal theatre, Subtle Pride takes us on a journey through the proverbial Art World and down the road to fame as we discover that success and multi-disciplinary performance go hand-in-hand.

The show features actor and multi-instrumentalist Charley Layton with Direction by Nikolai Mishler, Lighting by Elizabeth Stewart, Projections by Yves Pasquarelli, Featured Choreography by Ian White, and Stage Management by Christopher Pritchard.

Subtle Pride is Misha Brooks, Zach Donovan, Brigette Lundy-Paine, and Mina Walker.

Tickets are currently available for purchase at www.subtlepride.com/upcoming. $15 advance/$12 Students & Seniors/$18 at the door.

Subtle Pride (Creator/Performer) is an improvisational voice band from New York City that specializes in creating hit songs on the fly. Known for their titillating and amusing live shows, Subtle Pride simultaneously writes and performs hyper-original music that neither the audience or the band have ever heard before. Subtle Pride eludes genre as they redefine pop music by breaking it down to its atoms and repurposing them into a performance that polarizes parody and earnest songwriting, pitting the two against each other and leaving the rest of us to wonder: is this art novel? Or is it simply novelty? For more, go to subtlepride.com.

Nikolai Mishler (Director) is a Brooklyn-based director, writer, composer, choreographer, and performer Favorite roles include Pericles, Tiresias, and Orpheus. He is currently working on a modern musical adaptation of the Oedipus Trilogy. His concert play Distortive Ascent won Second Best Play in the 2015 Downtown Urban Theater Festival. He also works as a sound designer and composer for friends and family. BFA: NYU Tisch (Experimental Theatre Wing)
