Code Red, the new album from H*Wood, Black Prez, DJ Five8 and singer Yasi is the depiction of what Colorado is capable of in one of its purest forms; music. Built from a long-term friendship between Black Prez and DJ Five8 (then called Lil Fly), H*Wood and Yasi round out the group's diverse sounds and stamina. By means of serendipity, the music came together with a group of like-minded musicians who signify what each of them love most; their hometown.

The first single from Code Red (due out September 16th) is "That 303" and is coupled with a fun-filled video, and charismatic rhymes. Yasi's vocals provide the mellifluous flow that weaves in and out of the song's crescendo with ease. The chemistry between the two MC's and the futuristic beats from DJ Five8 are the perfect equilibrium between EDM and hip-hop music.

As ambassadors of Colorado culture, these hometown heroes have launched a campaign that embodies the true characterization of putting on for your city; the #NewLocal. Essentially the start of a new era, the #NewLocal celebrates the variables that make any city loved by its inhabitants. It's the culture, heart and soul of a place that serves its people. As Code Red gears up for release, the crew will be highlighting people, places and things that make Colorado the place to be.

The release of Code Red is the epitome of turning a sentiment and determined love for the place you're from into a tangible aspect of a legacy. H*Wood, Black Prez, and DJ Five8 will be hosting a listening session for the album at Epernay Lounge in Denver on September 9th.
