Auburn Jam Records are delighted to announce the release today of Alzheimer's Society charity single 'Dignity', written by trans-Atlantic writing duo Anderson & Petty, and featuring the vocals of West End leading lady Gloria Onitiri (The Bodyguard, The Lion King, Avenue Q).

The single is available to download via all major online stores including iTunes, Google Play and Amazon, and the official video can be found on YouTube. A JustGiving page has also been set up to collect donations from anyone who enjoys the song and would like to give more to support the important work of Alzheimer's Society.

All donations and profits from the single will go to Alzheimer's Society, the leading UK care and research charity for people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, their families and carers. Dementia can happen to anyone and there is currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021. Alzheimer's Society believe passionately that life doesn't end when dementia begins. They are there for anyone affected by dementia, and do everything they can to keep people with dementia connected to their lives and the people who matter most.

"The new charity single, 'Dignity' is special for a whole host of reasons, but with a lot stigma still surrounding dementia, this song is a really fantastic way of raising awareness and vital funds for Alzheimer's Society. We are so very grateful to Anderson & Petty for supporting us and helping us to continue to raise awareness of dementia. We also want to thank music fans for any donations to Alzheimer's Society. The funds raised will help us support people to live well with dementia today and fund vital research to find a cure for tomorrow." -Alzheimer's Society

"Barry and I have been working on a song-cycle based on true stories, be they personal, from friends, family, news or historical events. Barry lost his Grandpa a few years ago to Alzheimer's and we wanted to write a piece from the standpoint of the caregiver, rather than the person with the disease. Sort of a 'caregiver's promise' to the patient/loved one, something to honour the tireless people who step up to the plate when Alzheimer's happens to someone they love. Barry's personal inspiration for this tune came much more from watching his Grandma having to deal with everything as his Grandpa started declining. We're thrilled to have found the perfect artist in Gloria to debut the song, and delighted that Alzheimer's Society are supporting us with the release as we wanted to be able to give something back to them." - Anderson & Petty
