A celebration of young artists is the theme of the Media Arts Council's 2nd Saturday today, August 10th. "The Fala Sisters" will be performing at the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, State and Olive Streets starting at 7pm. Lead singer Jess Fala, 13, a student at Garnet Valley Middle School, will be accompanied by her sister Noelle Fala, 15, who attends Garnet Valley High, on guitar and vocals. The teen duo has been making music together for about 5 years, playing contemporary songs in a unique acoustic style.

The children's art activity for 2nd Saturday from 6 to 7pm will be led by Christine Iovannicci of "Art for Everyone". She will help children make a wonderful reminder of summer, creating art with a variety of materials from paints to bubbles, everyday household items and natural objects encouraging children to explore. This free class is in the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union lobby

Seth Darnall is the visual artist of the month. His large acrylic abstract canvases are filled with light and color. Darnall, who is Director of Production for Suburban Life Magazine, will have his show exhibited at Media Pizza and Grill.

This will be the Media Arts Council's 89th consecutive 2nd Saturday arts stroll on Media's State Street. From 6 to 9pm participating merchants present local artists and musicians in their stores. For more information visit www.mediaartscouncil.org.
