Gabriel Garzón-Montano Shares 'My Balloon' Video, U.S. Tour Kicks Off This May

Today, Gabriel Garzón-Montano drops the official video for "My Balloon" directed by Santiago Carrasquilla. "We filmed this video on location in Cartagena and Las Islas del Rosario in Colombia. It's a series of portraits of a heartbroken couple who are in beautiful places at the wrong time," Gabriel comments.

Dubbed "one of the most promising artists of 2017" by NPR, Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Garzón-Montano is on the heels of his critically lauded debut album Jardín via Stones Throw Records. Following a sold-out UK/EU tour and eight-show run at SXSW that "dripped with old-school soul," Gabriel is set to kick off a full national tour on May 8th that starts with a sold-out show in Los Angeles. Jardín is a ten track "genre-flaunting gem" that was recorded at Waterfront Studios in Hudson, NY with analog guru Henry Hirsch. Gabriel tracked drums, bass, guitar, piano, and synthesizers direct to 2" tape, adding percussion, digital programming, and several layers of his own vocals to create a lush sonic environment. He sings of the struggles and uncertainties of the many-layered game that is America today, from the specific doubt and double consciousness of the first-generation hustle to the universal challenges of love, legacy, and exploring the maze of one's own mind.
