The "Monster" seems to be Eminem's struggle with fame, the media, and his own ambitions. In the song, Eminem raps; "I wanted the fame, but not the cover of Newsweek/ Oh well, guess beggars can't be choosey/ Wanted to receive attention for my music/ Wanted to be left alone in public, excuse me." Eminem's issues with the media has been well documented and it looks like Eminem is not done taking the fight to them.
Prior to "The Monster," Rihanna was featured on Eminem's 2010 hit, "Love the Way You Lie" and Em', in turn, appeared on "Part II" of the song ("Love the Way You Lie (Part II)") featured on Rihanna's "Loud" album.
The standard edition of "MMLP2," executive produced by Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin, will also feature Kendrick Lamar, Skylar Grey and fun.'s Nate Ruess. The deluxe edition will feature five songs including features by Sia and Jamie N. Commons.
Eminem previously released his lead single "Berzerk" on August 25 followed by "Survival" and "Rap God" that debuted at No. 2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs last week.
