Golightly Media, in conjunction with goldVE Management, are proud to announce the arrival of alt-rockers, Faulkner in New York City. The electric four piece will be playing another exclusive performance in New York city tonight, December 4 at Mercury Lounge. Show details below.

The Venice, CA four-piece are set to release their forthcoming LP, "Street Axioms," in 2014, and is a staggering debut from the band, produced by Mark Needham (The Killers/Imagine Dragons) and JP Bowersock (The Strokes), as well as band member, Eric Scullin.

Written in the tumultuous shadows of New York City's grimy back alleys and darkest corners, Street Axioms is a collection of poetic narratives that originally began as an acoustic project by principal singer/songwriter, Lucas Asher, while he was traveling broke and hungry as a homeless musician. With nothing but an acoustic guitar and a journal, Asher compiled proverbs and poems under the Brooklyn Bridge, eventually sharing them with producer and soon to be musical partner, Eric Scullin. The two couldn't be more different - Asher, a withdrawn and quiet writer, and Scullin, an outlandish producer more inclined to a psychedelic existence - it seems that the musical marriage of the two contradicting characters was inevitable. Together, they began building the backbone for what would eventually become the impressive debut achievement for the project, Faulkner, and enlisted the help of Dimitri Farougias on bass, and Christian Hogan on drums. The band threw a demo up on Soundcloud which caught the attention of producer, JP Bowersock (The Strokes), and lead to a management partnership with music industry veteran, Danny Goldberg of goldVE Management. With the grunge and punk aesthetics of The Clash, combined with a hint of vintage glam reminiscent of early David Bowie, Street Axioms is an exhilarating journey that draws upon intrepid traveller Asher's ethereal experiences. The band name, Faulkner, even has it's own fanciful tale - it was a name decided upon by a shaman Asher spoke to whilst traveling through Egypt.
