AMERICAN IDOL S3 winner, recording artist and occasional Broadway star Fantasia revealed some exciting news about an upcoming Broadway show in addition to filling fans in on her forthcoming tour with opera superstar Andrea Bocelli.

"Actually, I'm coming back in October," Fantasia reveals of her mysterious Broadway plans - without citing what show in particular - when appearing on TODAY with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb earlier today.

"Yes, yes," she says as Broadway fan Gifford remarks upon the reveal of the breaking news - with Fantasia (nee Barrino) offering no more than that hint, alas.

So, what could the project possibly be? Perhaps a special Broadway engagement of her tour with Bocelli? A replacement gig in a running musical? A new show?

Additionally, Fantasia comments on her other plans in the near future.

"I was thinking, 'Are they sure they have the right person?'" she says of trepidatiously agreeing to tour with Andrea Bocelli,

As for the songlist on the upcoming Bocelli tour, Fantasia reveals of her duets with the internationally beloved tenor, "I open with 'Summertime', then we both do 'When I Fall In Love' and we end with 'Canto Della Terra'," Fantasia says.

Fantasia appeared in an extended replacement run on Broadway in THE COLOR PURPLE from 2007 to 2008.
