Although "The Voice" Season 5 finalist Will Champlin did not win the competition, he did win the love and support of tens of thousands of fans worldwide. Those fans, dubbed Champs by the artist, have launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign with Champlin's gratitude and participation. The goal of the fundraiser, called "Will Champlin Deserves Radio-Activity," is to raise $35,000 to help the independent artist promote his music to radio stations nationwide. The push to radio coincides with the May 13 release of Champlin's latest single, "Eye of the Pyramid," to iTunes.

"Will's first post-Voice single, Last Man Standing, was released on March 17," says Bobby Spivey, Champlin's manager. "In less than 24 hours, it hit number 32 on iTunes Alternative Charts. This happened without a label promoting the single, and without airplay. This is unprecedented." According to Spivey, it is difficult, if not impossible, for an artist to achieve airplay on most radio stations without having paid radio promotions experts lobbying on the singer's behalf. When Champs realized this obstacle was preventing them from hearing their favorite singer on the radio, they devised a plan with guidance from Spivey.

The event is sure to please fans worldwide while also recruiting new admirers as well. Champlin and co-writer/brother-in-law Steven Gallagher, wrote a song, "Radio," especially for the campaign and captured it in a video featured on Champlin's Indiegogo page at www.igg.me/at/Radio-Active-Will.

Champlin is showing his love to the fans through the perks that come with each donation, ranging from a digital download of "Radio" for a $5 donation all the way up to a private concert for any fan who donates $5,000. Other perks include framed lyrics handwritten by Champlin for a $200 donation, a personalized and signed edition of the artist's upcoming album for a $300 donation, a live-streamed concert and Q&A with Champlin for a $105 donation, and a private in-studio Skype session with Champlin and Gallagher for a $1,000 donation.
