FROZEN Soundtrack Earns Biggest Sales Week Yet; Holds Steady at No. 1

The soundtrack to Disney's FROZEN continues its epic journey, earning its biggest sales week thus far and holding at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the 11th non-consecutive week, according to

For the week ending April 20, the album sold 259,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That figure marks an increase of 94% compared with the previous week, when the album shifted 133,000 at No. 1. The sales figure also marks the fifth consecutive week that FROZEN sold more than 100,000 copies. Currently, the album, featuring music from Oscar winners Robert Lopez and Kristen-Anderson Lopez, has sold 2.3 million copies.

Since SoundScan's point-of-sale data began reporting the Billboard 200's rankings in 1991, "Frozen" is only the ninth album, and third soundtrack to remain at No. 1 for at least 11 weeks. In addition, since the Billboard 200 began publishing on a regular, weekly basis in 1956, "Frozen" is one of only 15 soundtracks to spend at least 11 weeks at No. 1.

About Disney's Frozen:

Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind "Tangled" and "Wreck-It Ralph," presents "Frozen," a stunning big-screen comedyadventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey-teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven-to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
