The Barn Players are planning a most unusual birthday celebration for Vida Bikales, President of the Board of the Barn Players and her friend Kerry Kirk -- it's VIDA AND KERRY'S 60TH BIRTHDAY BASH BENEFITING THE BARN, Wednesday evening, March 12th at the Barn Players Theatre, 6129 Martway, in Mission.

Featured in concert will be renowned pianist Eric Bikales, brother of Vida Bikales who is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East high School and attended The University of Kansas. Today Eric is a sought after musician and pianist living in Nashville and a member of The Kansas Music Hall of Fame through his time with the musical group SANCTARY. He will play two 45-minute concert sets at the birthday benefit, featuring original piano compositions, other piano favorites and several songs from his recently released CD "Follow Your Heart".

His musical career spans some 40 years and he has accompanied and played piano and keyboard for many artists including Neil Sedeka (for over 30 years), Dolly Parton, Cher, Mac Davis, Stevie Wonder, Lynn Anderson, The Pointer Sisters, Tom Wopat, the Hudson Brothers and others. He has written music for TV shows and motion pictures including Ally McBeal, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Boston Legal, Scrub's and a number of others.

The celebration musical concert, which is open to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m. March 12th. Tickets are $10.00 per person and can be purchased on the Barn Players website www.thebarnplayers.org, or at the door. All proceeds will go to The Barn Players. The evening celebration will include birthday cake and wine.
