Entertainment One (eOne), alongside Stolen Sky Productions and LBI Entertainment, are pleased to announce a partnership to co-develop and co-produce an innovative new travel series with music legend Dave Matthews. An international cultural exploration show through music, the series builds on Matthews' knowledge for the subject matter following his involvement in a US government cultural mission to Cuba that included the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities and the National Endowment of the Arts.

The series explores the bond between the arts and culture in unfamiliar and controversial parts of the world. In each hour-long episode, Matthews will land in a new location and embark on his own mission to explore areas of the world where are there are large cultural divides and misconceptions. Each of these FRINGE places shares one thing in common: a burgeoning music scene that could shed new light into these unexplored cultures. From the illegal UNDERGROUND music landscape in Tehran, Iran, to Dakar, Senegal's explosive hip-hop scene, this is a travel series with an uncharted music twist and a window into fringe, complex, and sometimes dangerous worlds never-before-seen on TV.

"When we look at history through the lens of the arts we get a more human perspective. We should look at the contemporary world that way," said Dave Matthews. "What are you reading? How does music make you feel? What makes you want to dance? What is art? What does it mean to be human? What matters to you? If you could go to far away places with these questions, what would you find?"

"No one has a more intimate understanding of the universality of music and its power to transcend culture than Dave Matthews," said Tara Long, EVP, Alternative Programming, eOne Television. "His affinity and passion for the subject matter is unrivalled and we are thrilled to be partnering with him and the teams at Stolen Sky and LBI to develop this distinctive project."

Executive Producing the series are John Morayniss, Tara Long and Mark Herwick for eOne, Phillip Watson and Sam Warren for LBI and Johnathan Dorfman and Dave Matthews for Stolen Sky Productions.
