Join acclaimed Adelaide harpist and soprano Emma Horwood and Adelaide Symphony Orchestra Principal Percussionist Steve Peterka in a festive feast for the senses with a varied program of Christmas music spanning the ages.

The unique combination harp and voice with a host of celestial percussion instruments (including crotales, sistrum, bell tree, wind chimes, tubular bells and cajon) will create an unforgettable soundscape.

This is a Christmas Journey with music ranging from medieval chant and vibrant dance rhythms of Spanish villancicos of the Renaissance to contemporary works and innovative new arrangements of popular carols including Silent Night, Carol of the Bells, Angels We Have Heard on High and O Holy Night.

Emma writes: "It has been three years since my first collaboration with Adelaide Symphony Orchestra Principal Percussionist Steve Peterka in a sold-out season of Christmas concerts. Where has the time gone? We have been busy enjoying parenthood with our daughter Elanor Peterka who turns two on Christmas Eve. Please book early to avoid disappointment as seating is limited in all venues.

"Steve and I will also be presenting A Celtic Dream in the 2016 Adelaide Fringe on March 6, 12 & 13, a recital of beautiful Celtic music linked by stories and legends....details to come next year or check your Fringe guide."

(Programme duration 70 minutes)
