Wedding bells will be ringing for Elton John and his longtime partner David Furnish! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Furnish revealed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the couple, who have been in a British civil partnership for eight years, will wed in an English registry office this May.

According to the report, the ceremony will be intimate and will include their two children, Elijah, 3, and Zachary, 16 months, as well as a few close friends.

"We don't feel the need to take an extra step legally," Furnish said. "But since we're committed for life, we feel it's really important to take that step, and take advantage of that amazing change in legislation. We all live by example."

Furnish shared the happy news on Friday, March 28th at John's 67th birthday party which took place at Fizz Las Vegas at Caesars Palace, where the legendary musician performs regularly.

The couple have been together since the 1990's and Furnish is happy to see the positive strides that have been made for gay rights since they first met. "We're living in extraordinary times," said the 51-year-old. "My god, 20 years ago, when I started seeing Elton, if you asked me if I'd be able to get married, if I'd be able to have children, it was unthinkable, literally unimaginable."
