Electro Pop Singer Yonee Teams with Together We Rise to Raise Awareness for Foster Care

Producer/DJ/singer-songwriter Yonee has partnered with the non-profit organization Together We Rise to bring awareness to the struggles foster care children face through a cross-country live acoustic tour November 10 to December 29.

Yonee is thrilled about this opportunity stating, "I'm super excited to be performing my live acoustic shows across the country as well as my hybrid DJ sets where I will be singing my brand new single 'Bombs of My Love' and upcoming awesome releases!"

While Yonee tours various cities to perform, he will also make time to interact with various children within the program. Over the course of the tour, he will be fully involved with the organization, learning how to improve the lives of the kids. Yonee also plans to become a mentor and encourage the young people to overcome the obstacles in their lives. Additionally, he has collaborated with regional partners to engage the children through awesome activities including trips to local ice skating rinks, shopping for the holidays and cooking Thanksgiving dinners.

"In Nashville, we took two girls on a shopping spree to get them ready for school which was amazing and we hope to continue this as the holiday season begins," says Yonee.

Yonee's music video for his debut single, "Bombs of My Love" also sheds light on TWR's cause. He desires do all he can to positively impact others lives through his musical platform!

About Yonee: YONEE first explored his passion for music by learning to play piano as a kid growing up near Orlando. While studying at the University of Chicago, he further pursued that passion by mastering music production on his own and DJ­ing parties around campus. After posting a series of remixes online, YONEE began booking shows throughout the country and then playing festivals all over the world. YONEE says. "One of the most important things to me is to engage other people in trying to bring more happiness to the world. That's what I try to do as a person, and if I can achieve something similar with my music, then that would be the most fulfilling part of all this for me."

ABOUT TWR: The foster care system can be a confusing and sometimes disheartening place, but through our fundraising and network of passionate volunteers, we strive to give foster children a brighter future, a sense of normalcy and belonging. Events like the National Build-a-Bike Tour, Sports Camps, and Sweet Cases allow foster youth to get out, play, and learn new skills just like any other kid. Our Aging Out program also provides resources to older youth who are leaving the foster care system. We strive to be the helping hand that foster youth need so that they may go confidently onto their futures.
