Sirius XM Radio announced today that Eddie Vedder will host a new, limited-run show on its Pearl Jam Radio channel, one of SiriusXM's original artist-branded channels dedicated to iconic musicians.
"The Eddie Vedder Radio Show" will premiere on Wednesday, December 5 at 5:00 pm ET on Pearl Jam Radio, channel 22.
SiriusXM listeners will hear Vedder play many of his all-time favorite songs, from early punk rock influences to unreleased material from his personal archives. "The Eddie Vedder Radio Show" will feature Vedder discussing his musical influences and contemporaries who inspire him as well as him sharing personal stories about his career in rock music.
"Eddie has been the voice of a generation and a voice with a conscience and we are happy to have him take up residence here to do his own show," said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM. "Eddie's record collection could tell some stories all by itself, let alone with Eddie at the helm; we know our listeners will enjoy hearing this one."
After each broadcast, "The Eddie Vedder Radio Show" will be available on SiriusXM On Demand for subscribers listening via the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for smartphones and other mobile devices or online at siriusxm.com. Visit www.siriusxm.com/ondemand for more info on SiriusXM On Demand.
Pearl Jam Radio features archival concerts from Pearl Jam's celebrated career, plus unreleased material from the group's personal music library and side projects, including solo and pre-Pearl Jam music.
