Eddie Bruce & Friends to Play SugarHouse Casino Each Thursday this Month

July is bursting with musical magic when Eddie Bruce & Friends illuminate the waterfront on Thursdays in Philadelphia at SugarHouse Casino. The shows begin at 8 p.m. and run through 11 p.m. except on the July 4th holiday when it will be 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. On that date Eddie is joined by vocalist Michael Richard Kelly, on July 11th Eddie calls singer Paula Johns to the stage, then on July 18th Charlene Holloway joins the juncture, followed by Eddie fusing with Edgardo Cintron on July 25th. Eddie Bruce & Friends can be seen every Thursday in The Refinery restaurant and bar at SugarHouse. SugarHouse is located at 1001 N Delaware Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125 with free parking. There is no cover, no minimum. Guests must be at least 21 years old to enter the casino.

· July 4 - Michael Richard Kelly

Michael Richard Kelly has been singing professionally for more than 32 years. He has been seen nationally & internationally in "Forbidden Broadway," "Forever Plaid" & "Fran Charnas's The All Night Strut," which he performed at The Casino De Monte Carlo, Monaco after Charles Aznavour's urging. Recognized in 1995 by "Philadelphia Magazine's-Best of Philly-Cabaret Act," he has performed different cabarets in the area, starting at Odette's in New Hope, PA in 1987.www.MichaelRichardKelly.com

· July 11 - Paula Johns

Paula Johns is an accomplished cabaret singer and jazz vocalist who hails from Philadelphia. She is often compared to Ella, and some of the great contemporaries of that era, but Paula brings her own distinctive panache to each song she sings. She enjoys a great lyric that tugs at your heartstring, as well as a lyric that'll make you fall off your seat with laughter. · July 18 - Charlene Holloway

Charlene Holloway is a professional recording artist. She also performs with some of the music world's greatest legends. Charlene's vocals can be found on the recordings of many well-known artists, and many genres. Charlene is the well-known popular singer with Eddie Bruce Orchestra for years.

· July 25 - Edgardo Cintrón

For several decades, percussionist/bandleader Edgardo A. Cintrón has been making music inspired by his father and all the great musicians of our times. Responsible for 16 productions as a leader - eight of them with "Cintrón," his New Jersey-based band - the veteran musician is still making magic and enjoying his career.

Eddie Bruce, Philadelphia's popular singer and bandleader, gets raves nationally for his cabaret and concert performances. He is proud to be included in the debut Philly POPS concert with new conductor Michael Krajewski on October 11, 12 and 13 at The KimMel Center in a concert entitled Viva Philadelphia! Michael Feinstein praises Eddie Bruce for having it all ... "a great voice and a wonderful stage presence." Eddie performs jazz standards that range from songs made famous by Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis, Jr, Frank Sinatra and many others to music written by some of America's greatest composers.

While Eddie performs throughout the country, he is often known as the "Philadelphia Singer," performing at the most prominent events in the city and serving as host of many of them from

6 ABC's Gary Papa Race on Father's Day at the Philadelphia Museum of Art to hosting the Mayor's press conference for the Mummers Parade and SugarHouse Casino's Year Won Anniversary Celebration with an all-day concert headlined by the Soul Survivors and The Hooters. A member of the Philadelphia media, he was the original host of "Dancin' on Air" on Channel 17 and an eight-year substitute talk show host on WWDB-FM. A dear friend of the legendary Harry Kalas, when Harry died, Eddie sang "High Hopes" at his memorial service at Citizen's Bank Park and the next year at the unveiling of Harry's statue in the ball park. Eddie is a frequent guest in the media today.
