People.com reports that Demi Lovato will not be at the judge's table when The X Factor returns next season. A source close to the singer told the site that, "She plans to spend next year completely focused on her music."

They continued that although, "she had a great run and a good time," the show's demanding schedule would interfere with plans for the coming year.

The 21-year-old has served as judge and mentor of the FOX singing competition for the past two seasons. She will launch her first arena tour this February in Vancouver, accompanied by X Factor alums Cher Lloyd, Little Mix and Fifth Harmony.

Lovato hinted in November that she may be ready to Exit the series, telling People, "I think ultimately my main thing is singing," she said. "Maybe movies once in a while, if the right role comes along." She added, "I will take the month of January completely off!" she vowed. "I want to vacation! I want to watch crime shows on my DVR on my couch ... I need to do some exercising and I don't really have time to do it. I love horseback riding and never get to do that stuff, but January is my time to do all of that."
