David Lloyd Leisure and Universal Music Join Forces to Launch the David Lloyd Playlist App

David Lloyd Leisure ( has teamed up with Universal Music UK to launch the David Lloyd Playlist, an exclusive music app aimed at boosting performance during exercise.

Created in conjunction with a leading sports psychologist, the app has been developed by experts at Europe's premier health, sport and leisure group and the UK's leading music company in the first joint initiative of its kind.

The David Lloyd Playlist, which is simple to use and compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and Android devices, enhances workout efficiency and enjoyment by matching a track's beat with workout pace. The tracks were carefully selected using sports psychology research which shows that synchronising music and exercise rhythm leads to enhanced performance.

The app gives both David Lloyd Leisure members and non-members access to thousands of Universal Music artists, with fully customised playlists updated weekly to keep fitness routines fresh and users continually motivated.
