On December 10, 2013 Diane Schuur turned 60. She also completed recording her most recent studio album and first-ever in tribute to her two most important mentors: Stan Getz (who discovered her at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1979) and Frank Sinatra, whose artwork hangs prominently in her Palm Springs home.

Entitled, I Remember You: With Love to Stan and Frank, the album was produced by Diane and her new manager, Mary Ann Topper, at Avatar Studios in New York, and features Alan Broadbent (arrangements/piano), Roni Ben-Hur and Romero Lubambo (guitars), Joel Frahm (saxophone), Ben Wolfe (bass) and Ulysses Owens Jr.on drums. Diane, affectionately known as "Deedles," will be performing the 12 songs from the new CD, all of which were previously recorded by Getz or Sinatra (or both), during her Birdland engagement with many of the musicians from the recording. The album is scheduled for a June release on Jazzheads Records.

Vocalist/pianist Diane Schuur is as eclectic as she is brilliant. She has built a stellar career by embracing not only the jazz of her parents' generation, but also the pop music of her own youth during the late 1950s and '60s. In a recording career that spans nearly three decades - and includes two GRAMMY Awards and three GRAMMY nominations--Schuur's music has explored nearly every corner of the 20th century American musical landscape.

Now as she enters this new decade of her life and musical journey, be witness to a new dimension in the brilliance of 'the Deeds," who at 60 is living proof, she is not getting older, she is getting better!
