On Monday, June 11th, popular Binghamton area band Cobblestone Crossing will take the stage for a one night only concert at Chenango River Theatre. It's a great chance to catch one of the area's favorite groups in an acoustically wonderful, intimate setting.
This show is part of the popular new One Night Stands – a series of one night performances featured at the area's only fully professional, non-profit theatre company. Later this summer, Richard DiPietra will come in from Florida to perform his one-man play I Am A Cuban Sandwich, based on growing up in Tampa's now famous Ybor City.
Cobblestone Crossing plays mostly American nostalgic folk, with a light touch of bluegrass, country, Irish and even an up-tempo spiritual or two. You'll hear music by American & Irish folk groups like The Kingston Trio; Peter, Paul & Mary; Nitty Gritty Dirt Band; John Denver; Woody Guthrie; Gordon Lightfoot; The Limeliters; The Irish Rovers and The Weavers. With great music, humorous banter, and sing along songs, an evening with Cobblestone Crossing is always a fun and exciting performance that keeps audiences calling for more.
