Cloud Cult previously announced a headlining tour of the US this April and May following today's March 5th release of their new full-length studio album Love on Earthology Records. The band will kick off the two month tour in Boston, MA at Brighton Music Hall on April 10th and will play select dates across the US that has them visiting most major cities.

Love is the band's first new full-length release in three years and is their ninth overall album. Written and recorded at Earthology studios by Cloud Cult's Craig Minowa, the album was mastered by Grammy winning engineer Greg Calbi whose mastering expertise can be heard on recent albums by Bob Dylan, Bon Iver, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Father John Misty, Passion Pit and Alabama Shakes among others. The End result is a beautiful, powerful and moving album that harkens back to some of the band's earlier releases while boldly pushing them forward. In addition to crafting an incredible new album, Cloud Cult and Earthology Records continue to pioneer environmentally safe ways to create, manufacture and release albums. The Earthology studio and label was formed by Minowa in the late 90's and was one of the very first green labels to come into existence. A portion of the studio is solar powered and Minowa is currently working on plans to have the rest powered by water from a nearby creek. He helped co-develop the now wildly popular recycled cardboard CD cases and created models for zero net greenhouse gas production for touring bands.

This Midwest experimental chamber rock band has become as well known for their music and eco-friendly practices as they have for their live performances. These performances often turn into emotionally charged experiences that have the entire room enraptured not only by the music and performance itself, but by the live painting on stage. Craig Minowa (vocals, guitar) is joined on stage and on vocals by Arlen Peiffer (drums), Shannon Frid (violin), Daniel Zamzow (cello), Shawn Neary (bass, trombone), Sarah Elhardt (keyboard, French horn, trumpet) and Connie Minowa (visual artist), Scott West (visual artist).
