Christina Aguilera May Not Return to NBC's THE VOICE
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Christina Aguilera revealed that she is unsure if she will return as a coach to the NBC singing competition THE VOICE after she and fellow coach Cee Lo Green take a break from the show's upcoming fourth season.
NBC confirmed the news last month that Aguilera and Green would be replaced by Usher and Shakira to allow them to concentrate on their singing careers. The twosome were expected to return for the following season.
"We'll see where everything goes," she told Access Hollywood. "But I definitely know that I have to step away from it for a second so that I can regenerate my own artistry and get back to what my ultimate love is."
Aguilera also explained the artwork for her newest album Lotus, which features her emerging naked from a flower. "[It's about] embracing everything about the person that I've grown to be since the last record," she said. "A lot of changes have gone down - I'm a coach, etc. So it's really fun for me to come to this place of freedom and independence and express that on many different levels throughout the album."
Lotus will be released on November 13.
