Chris Harcum (American Badass, Rabbit Island, and Some Kind of Pink Breakfast) returns to the FRIGID New York Festival with a stand-up and storytelling fueled solo performance on feuds, gunslinging and what you get when you go up against the impossible. Two Lovely Black Eyes questions what we assume to be true and how much we should allow ourselves to operate on trust. In an era of heightened gun violence, is it safe to go to the theater? How do we deal with day-to-day events that may escalate out of control? What do you do when someone close to you violates what you deeply believe?

Elephant Run District is a collective devoted to challenging expectations, inspiring dialogue in our community and creating long-lasting memories. ERD seeks to entertain its audiences while addressing issues that affect our society. The District is a place where traditions collide and new possibilities are explored in the hunt to create stories that are ultimately human. Most recently, Elephant Run District produced 7 Stampede Labs at the Living Theatre to cross-pollinate New York's indie theater territory and pay homage to Off Off's history. Over 21 indie theater companies and 100 artists shared their work through this unique theatrical experience. www.elephantrundistrict.org

Chris Harcum (Scribbler and Actron): is pleased to bring his third show to the Frigid. The other two were American Badass, a solo performance on the effects of the wars in the Middle East on people in the United States, and Rabbit Island, a crazy sex farce. Six of his solo shows (and a one-act) have been published on Indie Theatre Now. Chris was named one of NYTheatre's People of the Year in 2011. He serves as the Executive Director for Elephant Run District, meaning he throws out lots of wild ideas and pours ample amount of wine. He is also the Managing Director for the League of Independent Theater, which entails glad-handing politicos and charging at metaphorical windmills. Chris is excited to do a full-length solo show that may or may not have a script. www.chrisharcum.com.
