Stunning brunette chanteuse French songstress, Chloe Perrier, and her jazz band, French Heart will headline festivities at NYC's 93rd annual Bastille Day Ball 2017 on Thursday, July 13th at "The 404". New York's official Bastille Day celebration, now in its 93rd year, is produced by The Committee of French-Speaking Societies (CAFUSA), who have produced of a Bastille Day Ball every year since its founding in 1924. The Bastille Day Ball has become the major annual French community event in the Tri-State area. Bastille Day Ball 2017 is held under the patronage of His Excellency Gérard Araud, Ambassador of France to the United States, His Excellency François Delattre Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the U.N., and The Honorable Anne-Claire Legendre, Consul General of France in New York.

Ms. Perrier, whose NYC residences regularly include The Zinc Bar, Iridium and the Flatiron Room, joins New York City's official Bastille Day Celebration to perform her signature standards from an international songbook, including Edith Piaf, Billie Holiday, and Frank Sinatra.

Ms. Perrier started acting, singing and playing the violin when she was a little girl, completing her studies at the Bill Evans Piano Academy in Paris. Chloe's great strength is her ability to connect with her audience using her clear voice, emotion and true artistic talent. Her repertoire spans all the great jazz standards, and includes bossa nova, French songs, and her own compositions. She transports us into her poetic and romantic universe.

Her first album "Coeur de Francaise" is a cheerful mix of famous French songs and her own compositions arranged with a Jazz rhythm backed by a piano and drums. Cathie Fichelle of Le 9 Jazz Club in Paris states, "this young singer with a clear voice offers us a nice mix of jazz and original songs with a lot of grace, poetry and a touch of humor accompanied by three wonderful musicians, indispensible accomplices..."

Following the jazz performance by Chloe Perrier and French Heart, noted DJ Olivier Meiji continues the musical momentum with music to dance the night away, spinning American and international dance favorites from the 70s to today. In addition to entertainment and dancing, Bastille Day Ball 2017 will feature two options to partake in the festivities. The ROUGE ticket will provide the "red carpet treatment" complete with a gourmet buffet dinner and open bar, and seating in the newly renovated VIP Lounge. BLEU ticket sponsors will be treated to entertainment, dancing, passed hors d' oeuvres and a cash bar.

Bastille Day commemorates the initial uprising on July 14th 1789, of the French people against the monarchy that had oppressed them for centuries. The parallels between the French & American revolutions are a testament to the common history of our two countries. Bastille Day, much like our July 4th, is a "fête du peuple:" a celebration for the people. Towns and cities across France organize community events, the highlight of which is le bal des pompiers, or Fireman's Ball.
