Some of the country's most enduring - and entertaining - musicians and comedians will gather on Veterans' Day for NYC Stands for the Troops: A Night of Music and Laughter to Benefit Our Vets to raise awareness and funds for the men and women who put themselves on the frontline everyday for our country.

An all-star line-up will donate their time and talent to Stand for the Troops (SFTT) http://www.sftt.org, a non-profit that provides results-oriented treatment for American Veterans affected by TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). The foundation has established a strategic coalition of resources to facilitate emotional, behavioral and cognitive wellness for Veterans and their families.

NYC Stands for the Troops: A Night of Music and Laughter to Benefit Our Vets will be held on Wednesday, November 11th at 7PM at The Concert Hall at the NY Society for Ethical Culture at 2 W. 64th Street, NYC. Tickets range in price from $62.50 to $102.50 and can be purchased at: https://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/973813/tfly or by calling: 877-987-6487. Doors open at 6PM.

John Batiste, president, SFTT, says he chooses "to stand with the organization based on its passion, proven results, and integrity. 66 Vets a day attempt suicide. 22-23 succeed. SFTT is determined to stand in the door and save as many of our warriors as possible."

Ben Richards is director of veteran operations for SFTT and one of the organization's success stories. Richards' army combat troop arguably delivered Al Qaeda the largest defeat ever experienced in Iraq war history. They set the standard in Al Qaeda's home field, proving that the Sunnis can work cooperatively with US Troops. Military strategists say Richards and his troop set the tone, strategy and conditions for defeating Al Qaeda in Iraq.

"I'm not being dramatic when I say SFTT saved my life," said Richards, Major (retired) US Army. "After suffering multiple TBIs and PTSD from Iraq, I was totally disabled, in daily pain, emotionally broken and without hope. SFTT rescued me and provided me with the medical care that changed my life. Once again, I'm a loving husband and father, a contributing member of my community and a value-producing member of society."

NYC Stands for the Troops: A Night of Music and Laughter to Benefit Our Vets brings together both legendary greats and rising stars for an evening of unprecedented talent to support our servicemen and women. Additional performers include a world-class house band: Robbie Kondor (keyboard), John McCurry (guitar), Clint de Ganon (drums) and Will Lee (bass).

"My husband, Colonel David Hackworth, wasn't interested in rhetoric, false promises or lip service," said Eilhys England, chair and co-founder of SFTT. "He was military brass who always fought for his beloved front line troops and a journalist who always spoke the truth. His goal was steadfast: to protect his boys with better body armor while on active-duty and to help them reclaim their lives when they return home. He would be so thrilled to have these talented artists come forward to celebrate our warriors on Veteran's Day...his birthday."

100% of the proceeds of NYC Stands for the Troops: A Night of Music and Laughter to Benefit Our Vets will go towards helping American Veterans with TBI and PTSD. SFTT is a 501c3 founded by Colonel David Hackworth and his wife Eilhys England in NY to support the troops with more than lip service.
