Argentinian rock trio Capsula - Martin Guevara (vocals/guitar), Coni Duchess (vocals/bass) and Ignacio Villarejo Solimo aka Nacho (drums) - just finished recording their new full-length studio album - Solar Secrets - with renowned record producer Tony Visconti (David Bowie, Iggy Pop, T. Rex). Visconti signed on to record, produce, and mix the new album and his prowess at the board mixed seamlessly with Capsula's wild, energetic, and psychedelic garage rock rawness. Solar Secrets is the band's first official worldwide release and it was recorded under the direction of Visconti at Lexington's Saint Claire Recording Studio in the heart of Kentucky and is set for an August 27th street date via Krian Music Group.

Capsula first formed in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the late 90's and following some European touring permanently relocated to Bilbao, Spain in 2001. The move to Europe made touring much easier for the band and ultimately paid off. At 2009's SXSW Rolling Stone's David Fricke chose them as one of the best surprises of the festival and wrote, "...a high velocity union of The Cramps and The Who, coated in corroded glam. Guevara attacked his guitar with a serious case of Pete Townshend." The increased touring and visibility also brought them to the attention of Frank Liwall, Founder/President of Krian Music Group who said, "One listen to Capsula was all it took to realize, we needed to get behind this talented trio and expand their reach throughout the World." The label released 2011'sIn the Land of Sliver Souls in North America for the first time and set out to have the band record their first worldwide release for Krian which ultimately led to Solar Secrets and working with Tony Visconti.

Being huge Bowie fans (they re-recorded the entire 'Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars' last year, teaser video here: Ziggy Stardust Teaser by Capsula), Capsula were thrilled to work with Visconti, who recently produced The Next Day, Bowie's first studio album in a decade. For Visconti the feeling was mutual, "Capsula is a serious rock trio, possessed of great musicianship with songs destined to be evergreens," he remarked "I can't wait until our studio odyssey begins."

With Visconti at the helm, Capsula experimented with a variety of sonic influences ranging from psychedelic rock to space rock and dream pop. Fans will recognize the trio's signature sound of blazing rock n' roll riffs, heart pounding drumbeats, and catchy vocal melodies onSolar Secrets - due out August 27th on Krian Music Group. Capsula just completed a successful US tour with Os Mutantes and will have news of a fall US tour soon. Check the band's website for the most up-to-date information.
