CRN International has announced a podcast that breaks new ground by providing an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at a major music festival, Sasquatch! 2016 at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA.

The "Official Sasquatch! Festival 2016 Podcast," launching April 19 and running through the event over Memorial Day Weekend, will take music lovers on the fascinating journey leading up to the Sasquatch! festival with up-close stories you can't get elsewhere about some of the 100 performing artists. The podcast, to be hosted by well-known music journalist John Norris, will interview talent, producers, attendees and provide sneak peeks into the preparations, rehearsals and music. The series will culminate with an on-site daily podcast from the festival site.

The Sasquatch! Music Festival, a haven for indie rock bands, singer-songwriters, alternative rock, hip hop and even comedy acts, is entering its 15th year. Listed among the Top 10 Summer Music Festivals, some of this year's performers include: Florence & the Machine, The Cure, Andra Day, GRAMMY winner Alabama Shakes, and Disclosure.

The venture represents the latest addition to CRN International's fast-growing portfolio of podcasts under its Collisions brand, whose initial launches have been soaring up the iTunes podcast charts. Other Collisions podcasts include: The Car and Driver Podcast, partnering with industry leader Car and Driver magazine; Distraction, hosted by New York Times best-selling author and leading psychiatrist Dr. Edward Hallowell; and Stockton, hosted by sportscasting icon Dick Stockton. Announcements of other series are pending.

CRN, which for decades has produced award-winning audio campaigns for hundreds of well-known consumer brands, will work closely with the Sasquatch! team to conceptualize, produce and distribute the podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud and other outlets.

"We feel the Sasquatch! podcast breaks new ground in the world of podcasting," said CRN Founder and President Barry Berman. "Never before has this medium tracked a major music festival like Sasquatch! with the type of behind-the-scenes color we will be offering. It's very challenging and exciting."
