Bruce Springsteen Set to Headline Festival During NCAA Final Four Week
According to Billboard.com, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will headline the 2014 NCAA March Madness Music Festival from April 4 to April 6. Springsteen will close the outdoor festival, to be held at Reunion Park in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday, April 6, as part of the Capital One JamFest.
New York indie pop band Fun. also join Springsteen that day. The concert will be Springsteen's first U.S. appearance following a recent tour of South Africa, Australia and New Zealand supporting his recent album, "High Hopes," which topped the Billboard 200 in January.
The festival opens on April 4 with the AT&T Block Party, headlined by Jason Aldean. On Saturday, April 5, Tim McGraw headlines the Coke Zero Countdown Concert in the afternoon. The Killers headline the evening performance, which takes place immediately following the end of the first national semifinal game, also broadcast at the venue.
Each of the events is a day-long affair, and additional performances, events and highlights will be announced soon.
Past performers at the festival have included Sting, Dave Matthews Band, Muse, Kings of Leon, Jimmy Buffett, Kiss, the Black Keys, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift among many others. More information is available at ncaa.com.
