Brett Dennen Plays Ridgefield Playhouse Tonight

Tonight, August 30, at 8 p.m., folk-rock hero Brett Dennen will make his Ridgefield Playhouse debut in support of his highly anticipated fifth studio record, Smoke And Mirrors, due out this October on Atlantic Records. Since the release of his self-titled record in 2004, Dennen has amassed an incredibly loyal and musically savvy fan base. From the stage to the screen, Brett has been placed in various major films and television shows including Grey's Anatomy and Parenthood. With a touring history that includes Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer and Rodrigo y Gabriela, Brett Dennen has played some of the biggest festivals such as Bonaroo, Austin City Limits, Coachella and Newport Folk Festival. This event is part of the Bruce Bennett Nissan LEAF Emerging Artist and Doyle Coffin Architecture Singer/Songwriter Series. "We've had such positive feedback with some of the up-and-coming talent we've had as opening acts for our headliners that we decided to make a series out of it and are grateful to Bruce Bennett Nissan for being instrumental in our ability to launch this new exciting Bruce Bennett Nissan LEAF Emerging Artist Series beginning with Brett Dennen's show," explains Allison Stockel, Executive Director of The Ridgefield Playhouse.

Dennen was named by Rolling Stone magazine as an "Artist to Watch" and, in 2008, Entertainment Weekly called him one of its eight "Guys on the Rise".
