Over the course of their career, Blues Traveler has defied conventional descriptions like 'rock band.' In fact, the band's music covers a variety of genres, including blues-rock, psychedelic rock, folk rock, soul, and Southern rock. The eclectic group is performing at the Gallo Center for the Arts at 7 pm on Friday, October 18.

Tickets for the concert range in price from $24 to $74, and may be purchased online at www.galloarts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office, 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto.

Blues Traveler has released a total of nine studio albums, one of them selling six times platinum, sold more than 10 million recordings, and played more than 2,000 live shows in front of more than 30 million people. With "Run-Around," Blues Traveler had the longest-charting radio single in Billboard Magazine history, which earned them a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. They have been featured on "Saturday Night Live," "Austin City Limits," "VH1's Behind the Music" and hold the record for the most appearances of any artist on "The Late Show with David Letterman."

The band's performance at the Gallo Center is sponsored by Beck's Sapphire and Delta Sierra Beverage.
