Billie Joe Armstrong Tributes Phil Everly On 2014 Grammy Awards
Green Day front-man and AMERICAN IDIOT composer/lyricist Billie Joe Armstrong paid touching tribute to recently deceased rock icon Phil Everly with a special performance on last night's 2014 Grammy Awards.
Armstrong joined with notable country crooner Miranda Lambert for a performance of the Everly Brothers hit"When I Will Be Loved" during last night's telecast.
The wittily titled FOREVERLY is a re-recording of SONGS OUR DADDY TAUGHT US, the iconic 1958 Everly Brothers album of the same name, which features many early Americana country and bluegrass staples that were originally recorded by music legends Tex Ritter, Gene Autry and more.
In addition to the first single, "Long Time Gone", the FOREVERLY album also contains tracks such as "Roving Gambler", "Who's Gonna Shoe Your Pretty Little Feet", "I'm Here To Get My Baby Out Of Jail", "That Silver Haired Daddy Of Mine" and more.
