Benny Marchant and his band will be performing live at Rockwood Music Hall at 196 Allen Street on February 23rd at 7:00pm. This is also a special "live" recording event. He will then be touring the East Coast to Baltimore MD, Ardmore PA and New York NY.

Benny is known as the front-man of alternative-rock group, The Kings Royal featuring Dave Krusen, the original drummer for Pearl Jam. In 2009, after a run including a tour with Candlebox, Benny split from the band, settling in Los Angeles and focusing on his solo career. His song “A Better Way” was featured in the 2011 feature film, Soul Surfer. Most recently, “A Better Way” and “Conversations Missed” are featured in the MTV series, Teen Mom 2.

While rehearsing at Sunset Studios in Hollywood, Benny met  producer/engineer Joe Chiccarelli (Radiohead, White Stripes, My Morning Jacket and The Shins) and the two formed an immediate bond. Together they co-produced “Conversations Missed,” an EP released in early 2011.

Benny has most recently recorded a brand-new EP Back to Life with producer and co-writer Steve Sulikowski. The two collaborated with mix engineers Michael Brauer and Kevin Killen. The title track "Back to Life" is now at A/C radio and is being promoted by industry veteran Dale Connone of in2unemusic.
