Acclaimed platinum-selling singer, songwriter, musician ANDY GRAMMER releases his highly anticipated sophomore album MAGAZINES OR NOVELS today, August 5, via S-Curve Records. Available now everywhere including iTunes, the album marks the Los Angeles-based artist's follow-up to his 2011 self-titled debut album which featured the massive hits "Keep Your Head Up," "Fine By Me" and "Miss Me."

Look for GRAMMER to make his debut on NBC's "Today" show tomorrow (August 6) performing the hit single "Back Home." In addition, ANDY has a week full of in-store acoustic performances and meet & greets set to occur in Long Island, NY, Washington, DC, Boston, MA and Meriden, CT.

"The first album for me was more of an introduction," ANDY shares. "And this album is a bit more how good friends would talk, sharing more and being a little bit more honest with myself and my fans."

The fast-rising "Back Home" is now in the Top 20 on the Billboard/BDS airplay chart. The joyously anthemic track can be heard on Hot AC stations nationwide including SiriusXM The Pulse, KBIG in Los Angeles, WMBX in Boston, WALK in Long Island, WIAD in Washington, DC, WQAL in Cleveland, KFMB in San Diego, WOMX in Orlando, WMGV in Greenville, NC among others. Meanwhile, the official music video for "Back Home"--which has logged over 300,000 views since its debut on Billboard.com in June--has been added into rotation at VH1 and will make its mark on the "Top 20 Countdown" this weekend airing with an interview with host Jim Shearer. In other exciting news, yesterday it was announced that ANDY will be supporting O.A.R this fall for a run of east coast tour dates starting Thursday, November 6 in Chattanooga, TN at Track 29 and wrapping with two shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City November 28 and 29. This comes after GRAMMER heads to Australia and New Zealand September 19-24 to perform with American Authors. More dates to be announced; ticket info can be found at www.andygrammer.com/tour.

MAGAZINES OR NOVELS encompasses 11 new songs all written or co-written by GRAMMER, reinforcing his place among the male pop artist elite through honest reflections of the impressive ride he's been on during the past couple of years. The Huffington Post raved MAGAZINES OR NOVELS is "a smashing sophomore album." Writer Judah Joseph goes on to say, "Magazines or Novels displays a level of consistent creativity and continued talent from Andy Grammer. The challenge of a sophomore album that lives-up to the hype of a debut album is overwhelming, yet Grammer's second full-length release both meets and surpasses the standard he set back in 2011. Magazines or Novels has positive and critical undertones, paired alongside pensive and carefree ones. An emotionally complex collection of songs, this album will definitely please existing fans and entice new listeners to keep doing just that: listening" (8/1/14). Music Connection's Jonathan Widran said, "Singer/songwriter Andy Grammer follows his successful 2011 debut with a batch of playfully rolling, foot-stompingly infectious anthems, including 'Back Home,' where he celebrates his roots with a booming production and high energy backing vocals" (August 2014). Describing the album as "sonically-adventurous," Tom Lanham from the San Francisco Examiner adds "it runs the gamut from playful faux-reggae ('Holding Out') through the spoken-word-ish 'Masterpiece,' a Victrola-scratchy 'Forever,' the vocoder-metallic 'Pushing' and 'Honey, I'm Good,' a pop-sculpted hillbilly hoedown" (7/13/14).
