Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of Amazon's AutoRip for Vinyl feature, which automatically adds MP3 versions of purchased CDs and vinyl records to your Amazon Cloud Player, where they are then available, free of charge, for immediate playback or download.

Customers no longer need to manually rip CDs or vinyl records and upload them to enjoy digital versions - they are automatically stored in their Cloud Player accounts and can be enjoyed on devices including Kindle Fire, iPhones, Android phones and Sonos, with no wires, uploads or downloads required. The process is seamless, allowing customers to easily find and stream digital versions of their CDs and vinyl records purchased from Amazon.com.

Amazon's AutoRip service launched for CDs in January 2013 and the company added AutoRip for vinyl in April of that year. To date, Amazon AutoRip has delivered more than two billion free MP3 tracks to customers who have purchased AutoRip albums.

In addition to adding digital versions of new album purchases, AutoRip automatically adds albums customers previously purchased from Amazon dating back to 1998 so you can flash back to your favorite 90s jams in your home and on the go. Everyone at one time or another has felt the frustration of having their favorite CDs damaged, lost or stolen. With AutoRip, previously purchased music from Amazon.com is always available in digital format even if the physical copy is long gone - so even 15 years later, customers can find their beloved musical gems stored neatly in their Cloud Player.

Starting tomorrow, customers can visit Amazon.com/autorip to choose from hundreds of CDs priced at $7.99 to celebrate this anniversary. The promo will run until Monday, 4/13, and will include titles from artists including John Legend, Fall Out Boy, Eminem and ZZ Top.
