L.A. based Jersey girl Alexis Keegan will be performing at the Josh Hutcherson celebrity basketball game benefiting the organization Straight But Not Narrow at The Nokia Theater's LA Live August 8th

A plethora of good things continue to happen forAlexis Keegan. From tour dates, award nominations, licensing and radio activity in support of her new EP Clean SLATE on Olea Records, Alexis is seeing life imitate art as her new single "Worry No More" continues to get national Adult Contemporary radio play.

She intends on bringing that positive outlook to her upcoming performance for the Straight But Not Narrow organization, an ally organization that prepares and trains young adults on how to become allies of their LGBTQ peers.

"Being true to ourselves, feeling beautiful in our own skin, and having the freedom to be who we are and love who we choose is what it's all about. It's an honor to be affiliated with such a wonderful event put on by Straight But Not Narrow. I have a tremendous amount of admiration for such a wonderful organization that is so committed to assisting young people with challenges they face everyday."

After a recent batch of performances opening for acts such as Howie Day and Ron Pope on both East Coast and West Coast runs and Honor By August and The Gallery on their West Coast tours, Alexis Keegan continues to draw attention to her infectious independent debut Clean SLATE produced byAndrew Williams (Five For Fighting, Colbie Caillat) and PJ Bianco (Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers).

Her recent activity includes winning TWO LA Examiner Music Critic Awards for Best EP Female, Best Video (Lyrical), recently performing live and interviewed on the Sirius XM Radio Show "Dirty Pop" hosted by NSync's Lance Bass and performing live on local TV San Diego 6 in the Morning. Her song"Worry No More" will be featured in the new Eric Roberts movie Opposite Sex and is currently featured in Abercrombie and Fitch Stores. Two other songs from her EP Clean SLATE, "Don't Need You Now"and "Just a Little" are featured in Forever 21 stores.
