As millions of viewers across America tuned in to watch the season finale of the new HBO hit "Girls," they were also given a small taste of Abby Bernstein's musical talents with her song "Spend the Night" closing the series' first season. Bernstein is ready to give her fans more with the debut of her sophomore album, Talk in Tongues, releasing August 7th.

In preparation for her upcoming release, the NYC singer/songwriter will be playing tracks off her new album for a record release performance at The Living Room on July 31st starting at 9PM. Bernstein's new album has an organic feel, with light and often humorous lyrics, allowing her to project a more candid part of herself while providing an approachable vibe to her music.

The 24-year old musician has been working hard in creating a name for herself since early on in her career. Her focus and clarity have allowed her to secure coveted gigs such as opening for the Barenaked Ladies last year, receiving the Songwriters Hall of Fame Best New Writer Award in 2010, and having her first album produced by Adam Blackstone of The Roots (and current musical director for Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, Jay-Z, Rihanna). Needless to say, she is steadily making the appropriate moves to secure herself a spot in the industry.
