Southwest Mississippi will be getting a taste of "American Idol" this weekend, when one of the show's former semifinalists, Lindsey Cardinale, brings her band to popular nightspots in two towns in the Pine Belt.

The Lindsey Cardinale Band (LCB) will perform at The Other Bar in Columbia on Friday, March 13, from 8:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m., and will appear at The Flying Fish in McComb on Saturday from 8:00 p.m. until midnight.

Cardinale finished 12th on Season 4 of "American Idol" in 2005. Originally from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, she moved to Nashville and continued performing and writing songs with established songwriters. She recently signed with Silvercreek Records, and plans to release an album later this year.

"I'm super excited to be starting a new chapter in my career," Cardinale said. "Silvercreek Records is an innovative record label with great ideas. I have two new guys in my band, and they are absolutely incredible."

One of Cardinale's new musicians is rhythm guitarist Stafond Seago, who also happens to be the president and CEO of Silvercreek Records. Seago is originally from Columbia.

"I'm thrilled to be working with Lindsey," Seago said. "She's an amazing talent with a good fan base. I'm confident her popularity will take off, after she finishes her album later this year."

Other members of the LCB include lead guitarist Kaleb Payne, of Jayess, Mississippi; bass guitarist Augie King, of Mt. Herman, Louisiana; and drummer Jonathon Nuccio, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

The Lindsey Cardinale Band (LCB) will perform at The Other Bar, 1931 N Main St Columbia, MS 39429 on Friday, March 13, from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

The LCB will perform at The Flying Fish, 2104 Fernwood-Airport Rd., McComb, Mississippi 39648 on Saturday, March 14, from 8:00 p.m.-midnight.
