With repeat comedies from 8:00-9:00 p.m., leading into "Uncle Buck" and "To Tell The Truth," ABC took second on Tuesday night in Adults 18-49 (0.9/4), tying CBS with the 2-hour season premiere of "Zoo."

"Uncle Buck" (9:00-10:00 p.m. - 3.6 million and 1.1/4 in AD18-49):
Spiking 38% from its repeat comedy lead-in at 9:00 p.m., "Uncle Buck" moved ABC up to second place in its hour to NBC's "America's Got Talent," beating the first hour CBS' "Zoo" premiere by 22% (1.1/4 vs. 0.9/3). "Uncle Buck" was up week to week in Total Viewers (+3%) and Adults 18-49 (+10%).

The ABC freshman comedy continued to greatly improve its hour from the year-ago night with original programming (1st hour of "Extreme Weight Loss" on 6/30/15 = 2.2 million and 0.6/2), up by 64% in Total Viewers and by 83% in Adults 18-49.

"To Tell The Truth" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.0 million and 1.0/4 in AD18-49):
At 10:00 p.m. against the second hour of NBC's "AGT," ABC's "To Tell The Truth" beat the final hour of CBS' "Zoo" premiere by 25% in Adults 18-49 (1.0/4 vs. 0.8/3). Like its lead-in, "To Tell The Truth" was up week to week in Adults 18-49 (+11%). The ABC game show gained viewers (+5%) and young adults (+11%) from its first half-hour to second half-hour.

"To Tell The Truth" also grew its hour for ABC from the same night last year (2nd hour of "Extreme Weight Loss" on 6/30/15 = 2.6 million and 0.8/3) by 54% in Total Viewers and by 25% in Adults 18-49.

Projections Rationale: Lifts vs. L+SD are based on 2015-16 season averages for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate Nielsen measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
