Brooklyn indie quartet A Great Big Pile of Leaves are thrilled to announce a brand new full-length studio album, You're Always On My Mind, set for release on July 2nd through a continued partnership with Topshelf Records. Along with the album, the band announces an eastern US tour with The Front Bottoms (Bar None) in late June. The run will be supplemented by a string of headlining dates both before and after the tour, with a special record release show at New York City's Studio @ Webster Hall on July 13th. The album serves as the follow up to their debut LP Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex? which was self-recorded and released in the summer of 2010 and moved an impressive 25,000 copies without the help of an outside team. You're Always on My Mind marks the band's first full-length studio album with the backing of a label, and also their first time working with an outside producer.

A Great Big Pile of Leaves (Peter Weiland, Tucker Yaro, Matthew Fazzi and Tyler Soucy) ventured from the East Coast to record the forthcoming full-length in Minneapolis last summer. They tapped Ed Ackerson (Limbeck, Soul Asylum, Polara, The Replacements) to produce the record and looked to Roger Seibel (Deathcab for Cutie, Andrew Bird, Bon Iver) for mastering. Drawing from a broad range of influences and musical backgrounds, the band creates original, yet easily accessible indie-pop. The end result is You're Always On My Mind, which co-founding member Tyler Soucy describes as a "focused and cohesive piece."

Although this will only be the band's second full-length record, they are no strangers to the industry. Formed in 2007, Soucy and Weiland began crafting, writing, and recording music together before the addition of Yaro in 2010. That year, A Great Big Pile of Leaves released Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex? and began extensively touring North America. Over the course of the next two years they toured with Say Anything, Saves the Day, The Appleseed Cast, and Motion City Soundtrack among others before headlining their first US tour in the Spring of 2012. It was during this time that touring guitarist Matt Fazzi, former lead guitarist of Taking Back Sunday, joined as a permanent member and solidified the band's line-up. The band has also made several major festival appearances, including SXSW, CMJ, Canada Music Week, and Bamboozle. In addition, they've been nominated for a 2013 Independent Music Award for Indie/Alt-Rock Song of the Year for their song "Pet Mouse."
