97Nine and American English Kick Off DOWNTOWN ALIVE! Concert Series at RiverEdge Tonight

The premier classic rock cover band in the Midwest, 97Nine grew up listening to Chicago's Loop 97.9FM rock radio, and thusly jams out to the most memorable arena rock anthems from the 80's, 90's and today.

Flash back to the Ed Sullivan years when the British Invasion hit America and "I Want To Hold Your Hand" skyrocketed to the top of the charts. Take a trip-no shrooms needed-to the psychedelic era of The Beatles with "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Magical Mystery Tour." Be transported to the final years of the Beatles with all the great hits from "The White Album," "Let It Be" and "Abbey Road." You'll be up on your feet dancing to greats like "Twist and Shout" and singing along with your friends as you sway back and forth with your lighters to "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be."

Almost all RiverEdge Park events, including all Downtown Alive! concerts, allow folding chairs and bag chairs for general admission ticket holders. For preferred general admission bench seating, guests are encouraged to bring a padded seat cushion for added comfort.

Food and drink are available for purchase inside RiverEdge Park. Concessions at RiverEdge offer a diversified menu from official food vendor Two Brothers Roundhouse, along with a bar featuring Two Brothers' craft beers, Anheuser-Bush products, wine, sodas, bottled water and more. No outside food or drink (except water) are allowed in the park during events.

Concerts take place rain or shine, unless conditions endanger the safety of artists and the public. Chicago and Chicago's western suburbs are adding a beautiful, new outdoor concert venue to its short list of hot new summer destinations with the grand opening of the new RiverEdge Park in downtown Aurora - Illinois' second largest city. Chicagoland's newest live outdoor entertainment venue is inspired by outdoor entertainment facilities in Chicago's Millennium Park and Northerly Island, and Milwaukee's Summerfest. RiverEdge Park is anchored by the contemporary John C.
