Kayla Stockert, the confident, striking young singer who is fast becoming one of the most talked about aspiring young performers on the East Coast, has announced a slate of radio appearances and live performances through her website at kaylastockert.com.

The tour of sorts began on March 23rd at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City with a spot on The Real Radio Show with other guests including Gene Simmons of KISS, and now heads east to WUSB Stony Brook University for a radio interview on their Wednesday Morning Show on March 27th, with additional stops at The Sissy Gamache Show on April 5th, Mad House TV's Rendevous with Alysia on April 13th, the Merrick (NY) Kids Festival on April 27th, at Revolution in Amityville, NY for a taping of Verizon Fios1 and My Long Island's Rick's Rising Stars TV program on May 16th and at Deepwells Mansion in St James, NY on July 13th as part of the Acoustic Long Island Summer Concert with ninedays, Seth Glier and others, with more dates to be announced on an ongoing basis. Check the site regularly for more details!

Kayla, whose unique voice can be compared to singers such as Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift and to artists like Amy Winehouse or Norah Jones, has been singing and performing music since she knew how to speak. In the summer of 2012, the still only 15 year old Kayla collaborated with The Como Brothers Band to write and recorded the three original songs that make up her debut EP "Castles In The Sand".

She is already fast at work on several follow up tunes set to be done with Dan Welsch and Robert VOID Caprio at Suffolk Recording Studio this Spring, including a song given to her by legendary Long Island Guitarist Phil Antonocci before he passed; a phenomenal rock/country/pop song called Needing You Feeling Again. You can expect some new music out by spring exclusively on Reverbnation as half the profits go to her charity, Love Hope Strength.

Some highlights over the past year for Kayla were: performing in New York City at Highline Ballroom as the opening act for Frankie Zulferino of WOW, being interviewed on WSHR with Ryan Parise and on the Rendevous with Alysia radio programs, receiving a special invite to audition for America's Got Talent, spending time as a contestant on Fox TV's X Factor and being a Finalist on MSG Varsity Talent Show. Kayla also won a listening session at Sony Records in NYC in affiliation with Sound & Image Showcase and was named "Global Emerging Artist" in another competition. In 2011, Kayla was 1 of the handful picked out of 40,000 kids to audition for a show called Majors & Minors, although she didn't make the final cut the experience was invaluable.

A seasoned pro at such a young age, Kayla has already performed at places like the Dunkin Donuts Center in Rhode Island, Apollo Theater in NYC, The Friars Club, Nikon Jones Beach Theater Side Stage, and at many other large venues. During this time she has had the privilege of not only meeting, but performing along side many of her musical inspirations. She has been fortunate enough to sing for Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and L.A Reid. Spent time with Connie Francis, and has shared the stage with Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge, Gloria Gaynor, Donny Most from Happy Days, Lovin Spoonful, and many other "oldies" legends.
