VIDEO: Mick Jagger Talks James Brown Biopic 'Get On Up' on TODAY

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger appeared on this morning's TODAY and spoke to Willie Geist about his next project, a big screen biopic of soul man James Brown, titled "Get on Up."

"I used to unashamedly borrow (moves from Brown)," Jagger told Geist Wednesday as Geist visited him on the film's set. "I kind of dropped them (later). Do some other ones." Jagger acquired the rights to make the Brown film after the perfomer's death in 2006.

The rocker turned to some of Hollywood's biggest behind-the-scenes names to help him with the project, including "The Help" director Tate Taylor and Oscar-winning producer Brian Grazer. They later brought on Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed legendary Jackie Robinson, in "42" to play the lead role.

"Sometimes I forget to yell, 'Cut!' because I just forget that I'm directing a movie," says Tate Taylor. "I'm mesmerized by him." Added Jagger, "James Brown was a fluid, super-aggressive mover, so for Chad to learn to do that is quite an achievement."

The 70 year old is currently out on the road with the Rolling Stones and continues to borrow some steps from the Brow. "I've been practicing," he shares adding, "and doing my moves."
