WWII Action Drama FURY Charges Into Select Overseas IMAX' Theatres, Beginning Today

Imax Corporation (NYSE:IMAX; TSX:IMX), Sony Pictures Entertainment and QED International have announced that Fury, the World War II action drama from director David Ayer (End of Watch)that stars Brad Pitt, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive Imax format and released into Imax theatres in select international territories starting today, Oct. 16.

Fury, which features a strong supporting cast including Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal, Jason Isaacs and Scott Eastwood, will be released in more than 25 overseas Imax markets through early 2015, including Australia, Japan, Mexico, Spain and the U.K.

The Imax release of Fury will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The Imax Experience with proprietary Imax DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX's customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
