Just in time for The Academy Awards this Sunday, Wayside Creations has unleashed their own comedic Broadway twist on the 2014 Oscar season. The independent filmmakers present "Oscar Season: The Musical", a film that parodies the 2014 Best Picture Nominees by showcasing a musical montage of all nine films nominated in the category this year. Check it out below!

The Oscar Musical features original lyrics and catchy tunes parodying the likes of American Hustle and Wolf of Wall Street, with lyrics such as "But my side-boob begs to differ, and it's here to make a stand" and "Pick up the phone opportunity knocks, we'll all make a fortune selling penny stocks." Other songs in the short film include a love ballad from Her, a calypso pirate song from Captain Phillips, and a country tune from Dallas Buyers Club. Narration is also provided by veteran voice actor Vic Mignogna ("Full Metal Alchemist", "Dragonball Z").

The spoof trailer is part of the Celebrate Hollywood program at YouTube Space LA where several scenes were filmed on location.
