THE NEST with Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Set for Christmas 2015 Release

Jason Moore's THE NEST, starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, has received its release date - and its got some competition of galactic proportions.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project from Universal will hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015, going up against J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: EPISODE VII.

In the film, the Golden Globe co-hosts portray sisters Kate and Maura who are " summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell The Family house. They decide to throw one final rager in their childhood home, which turns into the cathartic experience that a bunch of ground-down adults really need."

The last time the comic duo co-starred on the big screen was in 2004's 'Mean Girls.' Shooting is scheduled to get underway mid-June on location in New York.

Poehler was a cast member on the NBC television show Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 2001 to 2008. In 2004, she became the co-anchor of the Weekend Update sketch along with her friend and colleague Tina Fey. Poehler's work on SNL earned her two Primetime Emmy Awardnominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Since 2009, she has starred as Leslie Knope in the sitcom Parks and Recreation, and received the 2014 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Musical or Comedy Series. She is also an eight-timeEmmy Award nominee.
