TED Holds at No. 1 for Home Video Sales; PITCH PERFECT Debuts at No. 3

According to Home Media Magazine, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's TED and Warner's The Dark Knight Rises held on to their No. 1 and No. 2 positions on both national sales charts for the week ending December 23. Universal's Pitch Perfect made its debut on the list at No. 3.

Pitch Perfect, earned $64.2 million at the box office and has become a surprise money maker in the home video sales market. The film exceeded the original home sale estimates by 30%, beating out Sony Pictures' Total Recall remake, Fox's Diary of a Wimpy Kid, horror sequel Resident Evil: Retribution ($42.3 million and the fifth film in the series), and Warner's Trouble with the Curve, Clint Eastwood's latest endeavor.

On Home Media Magazine's weekly rental chart, Total Recall debuted at No. 1 with Resident Evil: Retribution coming in at No. 3. Both films are from Sony Pictures.
